Writing for catalogues usually presents one challenge in particular: space is tight, so every word counts. The first step is therefore to make sure all the essential information is included. But why stop there? Even when space is scarce, it’s possible to add some ‘sizzle’ about each product. Content such as what customers like about the product and who really benefits from it can be very persuasive and engaging.

This is why I like to go beyond the ‘must have’ info and get a bit deeper into what each product really does for people. Ideally, I also try to inject a bit of your brand’s personality into the copy. We want the copy to speak to people, reading as though it’s been written just for them and their situation.
